Our company, ManyOne Networks, Inc., has taken a look at your Wikiwyg
software, and we are impressed. The capabilities it offers are most useful
to our services. We'd like to contribute code improvements to your
repository to fix bugs and clean up the code base. As our changes may be
somewhat hefty, we'd like to do so on a SVN branch on your repository
(preferably off a semi-stable branch or trunk), until we've stabilized the
changes enough to port them back to your trunk. We'd also like accounts and
access to your bug management system, so you can review our suggested
changes.
To mirror our SVN repo I'd suggest either using SVN::Mirror
(http://search.cpan.org/~clkao/SVN-Mirror-0.68/) or SVK
(http://svk.elixus.org). The former is a simple mirror/syncing tool, while
the latter is a full-featured distributed version control system.
As far as access to our bug management system, unfortunately right now the
Wikiwyg bugs are in the same system as the rest of our product's bugs, and
there's no easy way to split them up, so we'd need to come up with a way
to either limit access to the existing system, or maybe use a different
system entirely for Wikiwyg. That's something we'll have to discuss
internally, I think.
But for discussion of changes, I think this list is probably the best
place to do it anwyay. You can simply write up what you'd like to do and
we can talk about both the concept and possible implementations.
