    It's available 24 hours a day, although different people are active at 
different times.  You need to connect to the Free Node network.  You can get 
some help here:

    Basically, for the Host:port in the Communication Tube, you use one of the 
servers listed here: http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml  

    HOWEVER... I just tried, and #wikiwyg and a couple others I am on aren't 
listed.  It's possible there are too many channels on the network for 
Communication Tube to work with.  I'd try a different webclient, although I 
can't recommend one.  It doesn't look like your fault, however.  I think 
Communication Tube just isn't working right.

    By the way, I'm new here too, I'm just jumping in because I figure the 
best introduction is to help out where you can.
