Hi

I downloaded the wikiwyg files and followed the directions at wikiwyg mediawiki extention page:

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Wikiwyg

when I view the page source I can see that MediaWikiWyg.css and MediaWikiWyg.js are
included- but I'm unable to activate the editor.

I am using MediaWiki 1.9.3
do I need to apply or add the patch file (mediawiki-1.7alpha.patch) somewhere?

a similar situation was described at this post of the mailing list
http://lists.socialtext.net/pipermail/wikiwyg-dev/2007-April/000109.html

Any help is Greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time

Yehudah

I recently had to figure all of this out too. Unfortunately, I
couldn't find any documentation on any of this. The best thing to do
to get an svn client and get the source code and then execute:

svn http://svn. wikiwyg.net/code/trunk/wikiwyg

inside of your extensions directory. You could be missing some key files.

For modifying localsettings.php, add only this to LocalSettings
  require_once('extensions
/wikiwyg/share/MediaWiki/extensions/MediaWikiWyg.php');

as it seems EZParser.php is already included in this file and add this
to LocalSettings.php as well, depending on your path:

  $wgWikiwygPath = "$wgServer/extensions/wikiwyg";

You'll also have to change the imagesLocation in one of the javascript
files to find your images.

Once you have that going, and you can load a page, open up the source
of the page verify that MediaWikiwyg.css and MediaWikiWyg.js are being
included, and you can see entries like:

<span class='wikiwyg_edit' id="wikiwyg_edit_1">

I hope this helps. I look forward to seeing some documentation be put
up somewhere on this process in the future.

In the "Toolbox" side box on the lefthand side of the screen, there is a link that says "Wikiwyg Disabled". Click it once to enable wikiwyg. Then the links that look like [edit] turn into [Wikiwyg Edit]. Wikiwyg is only available per section, not for the whole page (in this incarnation you have). But Wikiwyg seems to work ok on the main page: http://www.e4-info.eu/heyheywiki/index.php/Main_Page It just worked for me anyways :) Cheers, Ingy From barabbas@gmail.com Sat May 26 05:00:25 2007 Received: from py-out-1112.google.com ([64.233.166.177]) by shale.socialtext.net with esmtp (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1Hruwb-00044Q-4y for wikiwyg-dev@wikiwyg.net; Sat, 26 May 2007 05:00:25 -0700 Received: by py-out-1112.google.com with SMTP id u77so2111240pyb for ; Sat, 26 May 2007 05:00:24 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:user-agent:mime-version:to:subject:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; b=oz3Z3d0hFTRirYckerdCkITulsrmNChfb/FSENcbgaPVf2j0DAnhGu1/X9nHSAVgD/JjMlDTsD2IpaP8ypuqZvykL1hHt2UuwnU9OqsebGJTDGie0IxiDLuRzt1AUm4+labBJhH281xRLff7OGUmWqlMrvPslsoPmrQpHvHnVDo= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=received:message-id:date:from:user-agent:mime-version:to:subject:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; b=nlyKjfO0bg/mb7RLCpGUFNCBP1p+dns7vskIZVkQYNfOhDXx6aVtkt7vub2g0QWfinGuMg172GaMesaugAf12xQoidoXSMurTAEfChv5hDcMr9FQq6KJa/x+f+dHehz7EHyECgUN6xXpq0FCwdPUmcAhwq3ANAe0zIprWGEdlkA= Received: by 10.35.61.2 with SMTP id o2mr7084284pyk.1180180824390; Sat, 26 May 2007 05:00:24 -0700 (PDT) Received: from ?59.105.131.104? Ingy and I plan to hold a hackathon of Wikiwyg on 8/2, at Taipei, Taiwan. Furthermore, we would like to arrange a collocated workshop of Wikiwyg, say maybe 8/1. I understand that it's not that cheap to go to Taipei, and the workshop is not organized yet. It's a chance, however, to share ideas face-to-face and also to hack Wikiwyg together, especially if you have already registered for Wikimania 2007. Patch welcome. ;-) Cheers, /Mike "b6s" Jiang/ From sabri.labbene@gmail.com Thu May 31 04:33:22 2007 Received: from ik-out-1112.google.com ([66.249.90.177]) by shale.socialtext.net with esmtp (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1HtiuA-0003M2-5d for wikiwyg-dev@wikiwyg.net; Thu, 31 May 2007 04:33:22 -0700 Received: by ik-out-1112.google.com with SMTP id c21so146646ika for ; Thu, 31 May 2007 04:33:20 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:mime-version:content-type; b=alMR1y3xX47d4CVABqiIcetOLP+l7ijCOreRaZxq1C44oib7g7IHMcYjYNtOxwCYZbXw0NjZs3ZD1STonu3sDACoQuQBMSnGsKnfO3qpCF2kc/otF4xbC5QbfP06WRPnUYFOxgA9m/6SjVWV9UP035nEbWqX2xhwoOY60Zs2LLI= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:mime-version:content-type; b=MPJYeSmZjKQx2/A3f9ht0ToUqzpLbPMrf4aoKZkZ+eQp05mStZ9P22+iaCgd45k55J9c13MV0n5u1xA4uGYNi+ocbOxEhN18vc9EEf+o2uXRzGTHKKTWDWLm7ikG7QLo25eQ0lYmEKMGOCbobqJf6NK++B/pXnL+QvnxVLoJksw= Received: by 10.82.156.12 with SMTP id d12mr15878165bue.1180611199868; Thu, 31 May 2007 04:33:19 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.82.114.10 with HTTP; Thu, 31 May 2007 04:33:19 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <2ef823550705310433g47399e0dv7d6bbac31eba325b@mail.gmail.com> Date: Thu, 31 May 2007 12:33:19 +0100 From: "Sabri LABBENE" To: wikiwyg-dev@wikiwyg.net MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_Part_15973_25485994.1180611199604" Subject: [Wikiwyg-dev] text formatting inside pre/verbatim sections X-BeenThere: wikiwyg-dev@wikiwyg.net X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: wikiwyg-dev.wikiwyg.net List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 31 May 2007 11:33:22 -0000 ------=_Part_15973_25485994.1180611199604 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Hi all, I have wikiwyg integrated into Phpwiki.
